How do you pamper yourself? A few nights a week I create a spa in my bathroom, where I pamper myself with at-home spa treatments and fermented grape products. Masks, manicures, and mimosas, yes please!
My main skin concerns as a lady in her thirties are fine lines and acne. I am up to try any product that promises to relieve one of the two. As a member of Influenster, I recently received a VoxBox containing a complimentary charcoal mask from Tree Hut. Eager to try this new mask I turned my Sunday in to a Spa Day. Sundays also happen to be when I pamper my poodle pup, Zsa Zsa. Two for one, twice the fun.
I began my at-home spa treatment by prepping my face with a spritz of tea tree oil toner. Then, I applied Tree Hut's Exfoliating Mud Mask with Detoxifying Charcoal across my entire face avoiding my eye area and mouth. I was instantly surprised by the smell. It had the subtle scent of flowers and minerals, an exact replica of Flintstones vitamins. It made my skin feel cool and refreshed, with a slight tingling sensation after contact. Following the directions on the label, I left the mask on my face to dry while I treated Zsa Zsa to a bath and a blow out worthy of Dry Bar. This took approximately twenty minutes, so I was ready to remove the mask while Zsa Zsa admired herself in the mirror. (Oh, to be a dog!) The mask was easily removed with warm water. It left my skin a pinkish hue that was bright and baby-like. I immediately applied a thick moisturizer to lock in all of my new found baby soft skin.
This Tree Hut Mask has found its way into my weekly skincare rotation. I now use this once a week on problem areas around my nose and on my chin to deter blackheads and major breakouts. Detox and pamper, with wine in my hand and a mask on my face it's more like retox and pamper.
